On July 16th, FamilyMart (Tokyo) will begin selling new products made with plant-based ingredients from the “Blue Green Project” at approximately 16,300 FamilyMart stores nationwide as part of its ongoing initiative “Making you happy,” one of the five keywords the company is focusing on.
The “Blue Green Project” was launched under the supervision of designer Hiromichi Ochiai, and has sold cutlery such as “spoons” and “forks” that are returned to nature, and “straws” that can be washed and reused, with the aim of being considerate of the global environment. In 2023, it sold products based on the concept of “delicious plant-based.”, which received a lot of attention.
The third wave of the initiative will see the launch of five products that are delicious yet use plant-based ingredients, including dairy-free cheesecake and donuts.
