Ryohin Keikaku (Tokyo), which operates MUJI, began releasing seasonal limited-edition sweets that combine fruit and chocolate, such as “Irregular Chocolate Saturated Satsuma Mandarin Oranges” and “Pomme Chocolat,” at stores and online stores nationwide on October 7th.
In addition to the existing “Irregular Shimekomi Yogurt Chocolate Strawberry” and “Irregular Shimekomi Chocolate Apple,” the “Irregular Shimekomi Chocolate Satsuma Mandarin” series has now been introduced. By focusing on taste rather than appearance and using irregular fruits, the series is also helping to reduce food waste.
Additionally, the chocolate-coated candied fruit series will see the introduction of a new product, “Pomme Chocolat,” which brings out the tartness of the apple. Along with “Fig Chocolat,” “Orangette,” and “Sironet,” there will be a total of four varieties. The unique feature of this product is that you can enjoy the richness of chocolate and the sweetness of fruit at the same time.
In addition, 16 other types of chocolate confectionery will be released sequentially during October, including “Bonbon Chocolat” and “Chocolate Covered Potato Chips.” A total of 45 types will be available for this fall/winter season, covering a wide range of occasions, from everyday snacks to special occasion items.
