Meiji (Tokyo) will release a new product, “SAVAS BIOPRO Yogurt Flavor,” from its protein drink brand “SAVAS” nationwide on June 30th.
This product is a beverage from the “SAVAS BIOPRO” series, which is based on the concept of “building an ideal body starting from the gut.” It contains 15g of “fermented protein,” which is made by fermenting protein with lactic acid bacteria. Through the “fermentation absorption method,” the protein is broken down into smaller molecules, making it easier for the body to absorb.
This yogurt-flavored drink utilizes the natural acidity and sweetness produced by lactic acid fermentation, making it easy to drink not only after exercise but also in everyday life. Furthermore, it features a new, Japan-first container with a cap that allows for room temperature storage, making it convenient to carry.
The protein drink market continues to expand, driven by a growing health consciousness and exercise habits, and a diversification of consumer needs. The company aims to expand demand among those who have not previously used protein beverages by offering a new value proposition that combines protein and lactic acid bacteria.
