Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Tomohiro Akutsu) will be launching a series of new frozen food products featuring “the largest volume” and “large capacity” starting May 12th.
First, there’s the new product that boasts “the largest volume (compared to previous products) in Seven-Eleven’s frozen food history”: “Seven Premium Rich G-Style Ramen” (798 yen excluding tax).
This product replicates an overwhelmingly satisfying portion size of approximately 810g, something previously difficult to achieve with frozen foods. It aims for “convenience” and “deliciousness that can be achieved with just a little effort,” allowing you to enjoy thick, chewy noodles and a rich pork back fat and garlic soup that can be enjoyed simply by “popping it into a pot!” and heating it up, without the need for thawing. You can also customize it by adding toppings such as “bean sprouts” and “soft-boiled eggs” (sold separately).
The large 450g “Seven Premium Chicken Rice” (368 yen excluding tax) is a new product launched because frozen foods are popular as a way for one adult to eat until they are full. Beyond just the quantity, the product aims to provide a flavor that can be enjoyed to the last bite, with the savory taste of tomatoes and vegetables.
