Sorale Hotels and Resorts Co., Ltd. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Ri Inoue) operates the Royal Pines Hotel Urawa, which released a new and innovative bread called ‘Peelable Croissant Bread Livre at the hotel’s 1st-floor pastry shop La Mora from November 17, 2023 (Friday). Price: ¥1,100 (limited to 8 per day).

The ‘Peelable Croissant Bread Livre is made by layering the croissant dough into 27 layers, using domestically produced flour as a base and luxurious fermented butter from Hokkaido. By incorporating air evenly into the bread, it maximizes the flavor of the flour and butter. As the name Livre in French means ‘book,’ this bread is designed for customers to peel off and enjoy each layer individually, allowing for a personalized dining experience in terms of taste and cooking methods. The unique qualities of this product offer a captivating experience for customers.

Based on withnews interview ,development meeting, the president suggested that a new type of bread combining croissant and bread could be developed.
