To celebrate “Cat Day” on February 22nd, FamilyMart is launching the “Family meow Grand Strategy!” from February 13, 2024 (Tuesday). This event will feature 19 original products, including cat-themed sweets, bread, chilled beverages, and daily necessities. The promotion will be available at approximately 16,400 FamilyMart stores nationwide.
FamilyMart, in recent years, has tapped into the growing popularity of cats. In 2023, they launched the “Family meow Gran Strategy,” releasing original cat-themed products to coincide with February 22nd. The initiative gained significant attention on social media, with numerous comments such as “Irresistible for cat lovers!” and “Too cute, had to buy it immediately.
In 2024, FamilyMart has expanded its lineup to include not only sweets, bread, chilled beverages, and baked goods released last year but also new additions like original coffee cups, gummy candies, bottled beverages, tissues, and other daily necessities. They are introducing a total of 19 items.
Furthermore, a portion of the sales from campaign products will be donated to the Japan Animal Welfare Association to support local cat activities (※).
