On January 17, 2024, AEON launched the ‘Top Valu Best Price Gutsy Meals × Gutsy Meals’ series in approximately 1,500 stores nationwide. This new product is a one-plate frozen meal that allows you to enjoy popular carbohydrate menus like pasta and doria in one go.
In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for frozen foods that offer added value beyond the traditional aspects of ‘convenience’ and ‘ease,’ becoming a main dish on their own. AEON received feedback from customers expressing the desire for convenient, voluminous meals through frozen foods, such as wanting a hearty meal for solo lunch that includes both pasta and rice.
The newly released ‘Top Valu Best Price Gutsy Meals × Gutsy Meals’ provides an opportunity to enjoy popular carbohydrate menus like pasta and doria simultaneously. Moreover, with a content weight ranging from 400 to 420g, it offers a satisfying fullness, making it the heaviest among Top Valu’s one-tray frozen foods. The first lineup includes ‘Bibimbap & Yangnyeom Chicken,’ combining the popular Korean menu Bibimbap with tantalizing sweet and spicy Kochujang sauce-infused Yangnyeom Chicken; ‘Napolitan & Milano-style Doria, Hamburger topping,’ featuring a Western-style meal with hamburger on top; and ‘Peperoncino & Garlic Rice, Chicken topping,’ combining garlic-packed Peperoncino and garlic rice with roasted chicken.
In the second lineup, a Chinese-inspired dish features ‘Fried Rice-style Rice & Soup-less Tantanmen, Fried Chicken topping.’ The selling price is 498 yen (approximately 3.36 USD).
