Seijo Ishii Co., Ltd. (Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, President: Katsunori Goto) released the “Seijo Ishii Homemade [Refrigerated] Premium Cheesecake (Mini),” a one-third-sized version of its popular homemade dessert, “Seijo Ishii Homemade Premium Cheesecake,” on Tuesday, August 21st at 222 Seijo Ishii stores and on its official online store, “Seijo Ishii.com.” The price, including tax, is 431 yen.
The “Premium Cheesecake” was developed over a period of approximately four years, inspired by the desire to create a signature homemade dessert at Seijo Ishii, and is a long-selling product that has been loved by many customers for over 20 years since its release in 2003. With cumulative sales of over 13 million units, this product will take the top spot in the sales rankings of Seijo Ishii’s homemade desserts.
Until now, the size was perfect for home use, sharing with multiple people, or as a gift, but in response to requests such as “it’s a little too big for one person” and “I want to enjoy it more easily,” a mini size was experimentally released in March of this year. It was so well received that it will now be sold in all stores.
Seijo Ishii’s Homemade Premium Cheesecake (Mini) [Must be Refrigerated] is characterized by its rich flavor and texture, created by a three-layer structure crafted with the utmost care by pastry chefs. It consists of a sponge cake with a simple, naturally sweet taste made with brown sugar, a cheesecake cake made with cream cheese and sliced almonds and raisins, and a crispy streusel layer made with almond powder on top. The cheesecake cake is made by slowly stirring it at low speed over a long period of time to prevent air from getting in, resulting in a rich batter. Furthermore, the doneness is checked by hand each time, and each product is made with great care and attention to detail.
