On December 3rd, FamilyMart (Tokyo) began selling four new products made with plant-based ingredients as part of its “Blue Green Project,” which is themed around caring for the global environment, at approximately 16,300 stores nationwide.
The “Blue Green Project” is a product series developed under the supervision of fashion designer Hiromichi Ochiai with the aim of realizing a sustainable society. In 2023, a product based on the concept of “delicious plant-based” was released, which received positive feedback from consumers, such as “my food choices have expanded” and “I can now easily enjoy environmentally friendly meals.”
In this fourth edition, the popular Mont Blanc has been revamped, and a new soy latte-flavored financier has been added. Additionally, the store will also sell a keema curry and bibimbap-style rice ball made with soy meat as limited-edition products.
The company says it will continue to develop environmentally friendly products and offer customers new food options, with the aim of contributing to a sustainable society.
